About the film

Dance Like Your Old Man is a short documentary film directed by Gideon Obarzanek and Edwina Throsby and produced by Chunky Move.

The film has screened at the Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney Film Festivals in 2007 and the Flickerfest International Short Film Festival and ReelDance Awards in 2008.

Concept

Six women imitate their dads’ dancing in a film about fathers as seen through the eyes of their daughters. These unseen men come to life through the dances and reflections of their children.
